Miss Norden 1961

The event was held in Reykjavik's Hotel Borg in Iceland, with a contestant from each of the five Scandinavian countries.  This led to the idea of the Miss Scandinavia contest, first held in January 1963.  Finnartists organized the annual pageant in cities around Finland.  The pageant was discontinued in 2005, merging with Miss Baltic Sea to become the Miss Baltic Sea and Scandinavia pageant.
