| Queen of the Year International pageants
were started in 1993 by D’Touch Promotion and was always held in Malaysia.
The organization also ran the Miss Tourism International pageants. In
1998 and 1999 the Queen of the Year pageants were not held, and was
discontinued after 2000. In 1998 and starting in 2001, the Queen of
the Year International titles were assigned to the first runner-up in the
Miss Tourism International pageants. In 2004 the Miss Tourism Queen of
the Year International pageants began in China. |
