NOTE: The winner, Christel Schaack of Germany, was discovered to be a widow of two years.  She was disqualified, but named "Honorary Miss Europe."  The title then went to the 1st runner-up, Danièle Gerault of France.  However, the Miss Europe Organization still has Schaack on its official list of titleholders.
